About Us
Mission Statement
The mission of the Bayside History Museum is to provide all citizens with an understanding of the role the Chesapeake Bay environment had in shaping the cultures of the bayside
communities from Galesville to Plum Point, from prehistoric times to the present. Through research and interpretation of collections, historical education and preservation of
historical resources, Bayside History Museum will promote stewardship of this heritage and ensure the continuation of this relationship for future generations.
Brief History
The museum began in 1999 with an idea of then Mayor Mark Frazer of North Beach. After years of research and acquisition, the museum became a reality, opening in 2003.
Under the leadership of Grace Mary Brady, the Museum was established in the historic "Charlie Mead" House, a board of directors was established and the organization was incorporated as a nonprofit entity. The museum is home to an extensive collection
of memorabilia from the Bayside community.
Featured exhibits include:

- Items from Camp Roosevelt, the first permanent Boy Scout camp in the United States
